Friar Jude Winkler teaches us about taking passages from the Scripture out of context. We must always study the Scripture as a whole, placing it in a historical timeframe. By doing so, we will truly continue with our spiritual development and grow as a community. Friar Jude points out that taking parts of the Scripture out of context can often be dangerous and lead to grave disagreements.
