Dear Friar Matt,
Yes, prayers & peace! You dedication to the prolife movement is meritorious. However, I am sadden by the previous article by 'What's new at francisians" that used our president's call for service: "President Barack Obama has been encouraging Americans to devote some of their time to help those who are less fortunate than themselves. This call for service and unity reflects Franciscan spirituality." This analogy to St. Francis is terrible. Mr. Obama does not reflect St. Francis's spirituality at all. St. Francis's spirituality was to do the Will of God. Mr. Obama's spirituality allows abortion to flourish here & abroad. One cannot logically assert that the two have a similar sense & knowledge in spiriuality. The one has a true devoltion to the goodness of Our King, Jesus; the other does not. Mr. Obama has no qualms about allowing the destruction of the innocents. His spirituality is more similar to that of the other king, Herod. Shame on the one who created that article. May Our Savior have mercy on us all. Ave Maria! hobo euie
