Almost 200 friars from the East Coast have been meeting and pray for last day+. We have been discussing, discussing and more discussing on our Franciscan charism, ministry and future. Last night, the 119th successor of St. Francis, friar Marco Tasca. Friar Marco shared his vision, prayer and challenge for us. I was inspired by his words and even more by a kind and friendly demeanor!

Our prayer today was for greater reconciliation and healing within our provinces and among the friars. Over the years there have been hurt feelings and real issues that may or may not have been resolved. We literally brought then to the cross during evening prayer when we drove nails into a giant cross as a symbol of what we wanted to turn them over to Christ. It caused me to do a fair bit of reflection and I tried to engaged a couple friars with whom I needed reconciliation.
