This year Conventual Franciscan Friar Crispin Fuino is celebrating the 70th anniversary of his Profession of Franciscan Vows. Friar Crispin lives at St. Peter's Parish in Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey. On September 2, Friar Crispin's Franciscan brothers threw in his honor a catered dinner.

Friars  from the Jersey Shore, Friar Justin Biase - the Minister Provincial of Immaculate Conception Province, and postulants and friars from Silver Spring and Ellicott City (Maryland) attended the dinner. Friar Crispin was delighted with the company. It excited him to see the young men at the table who in relative terms had only not long ago started their adventure in Franciscan life. The postulants appreciated their time with Friar Crispin too. The man is an example of a rich and fulfilled life, the life of a man who long ago heard God ask him to be a Conventual Franciscan Friar.
