Franciscans.org Podcasting Tutorial

This tutorial will walk you through the process of downloading iTunes (if you do not have it already) and how to subscribe to a Podcast feed.

Step 1 – Download iTunes software. (http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/)

Step 2 – Install the application.
You will need to run the executable program that was downloaded to your computer.

Step 3 – Copy the Podcast link.
Once the software has been installed, go back to the Podcast section (http://www.franciscans.org/parser.cfm) and put your mouse over the Podcast button. Right click on the button and select ‘Copy Shortcut’ from the shortcut list.

Step 5 – Start up iTunes

Step 6 - Subscribe to the Podcast
Once iTunes is opened you will need to subscribe to the Podcast. To do this you will need to click ‘Advanced’. Then click ‘Subscribe to Podcast’

Step 7 – Paste URL.
In the URL box right click and select paste from the select box. This will add the feed to iTunes

Step 8 - You are done.
You will now see the feed name within iTunes. Double click the feed name to hear the Podcast. Your Podcast software will now automatically go out to check for updates. If an update is available, it will automatically download to iTunes

Step 9 – Listen to the Podcast.
You can now listen to the Franciscans.org Podcast on your computer or transfer it over to your MP3 player.
