Meet our Postulant- Michael Boes
Michael Boes is a native from Scotch Plains, New Jersey and is currently a postulant for the Our Lady of the Angels Province. He is residing in Chicago where he will spend one year along with other students and friars. Michael enjoys spending his time playing tennis, bowling and dancing. He admires Saint Joseph because of his witness through obedience and protection of Jesus and Mary. Michael said, "He is a great inspiration to me to be a witness through the actions and example of how I live my life." This year of formation he wants to grow in deeper understanding of the Franciscan life, the spirituality, and to know the community of friars. He looks forward to growing deeper in his personal prayer life and his relationship with God. He chose the Franciscan life because it is a life focused on prayer, ministry, and community. "For me, it is a life completely centered on seeking God, serving the people of God most fully those who are needy, and growing in a life of holiness with a community of brothers," he shares. Welcome to the community Michael!
