Franciscan Backpacking Retreat

Come to this contemplative outdoor retreat and experience the wonders of nature combined with an enrichment of Franciscan spirituality. Together we will backpack through the Porcupine Mountains in Michigan, discuss Pope Francis’ leadership and the life and teachings of Sts. Francis and Clare of Assisi, all while being immersed in the beauty of God’s creation. Rev. Nick Rokitka, OFM Conv. will serve as a chaplain and Sister Julia Walsh, FSPA will be available for spiritual listening. The expert guides of Camp Manito-Wish YMCA will secure our safety and facilitate our outdoor adventure. $475 includes all gear, meals, accommodations and supplies.
