Exploring and Celebrating a Vocation
Friars will be having a Come and See Retreat on July 15 and 16 in conjunction with the 50th Priesthood Anniversary celebration of Father Jim Van Dorn. Father Jim, a native of Southern Illinois currently works at the Franciscan Retreats and Spiritualty Center on the preaching staff. He has worked on different ministries including; Parish Ministry, preached Retreat Ministry, Initial Formation Ministry, Vocation Outreach, Campus Ministry, Guardian and Parish Mission Ministry. Father Jim is admired by many for his dedication to his ministries and the experience and wisdom he shared in his homilies. Brother Bob Roddy, shares that Father Jim had made a difference to better the lives of those that he has worked with. Those hosting the Come and See Retreat are excited to be sharing this milestone with Fr. Jim and the Retreat Center.
