Bishop Gregory Hartmayer Appointed Archbishop of Atlanta

Today in Rome, Pope Francis named Bishop Gregory J. Hartmayer, OFM Conv, Archbishop of Atlanta. He will be the seventh Archbishop of Atlanta. Bishop Gregory has been the fourteenth Bishop of Savannah since July 19, 2011 where he was appointed by Pope Benedict XVI and installed on October 18, 2011.

Bishop Gregory will be installed as Archbishop of Atlanta on May 6th at Saint Peter Chanel Parish, Roswell. We are praying for him as he prepares for his new assignment.
