Welcome Zach Navarette to the Franciscan Community!

The Province of Our Lady of Consolation accepted Zach Navarrette whom is from Carlsbad, New Mexico as a Postulant.  His family are parishioners at San José Catholic Church in Carlsbad, NM.

Zach's great uncle is Brother Ray Ramos, OFM Conv. Zach has great memories of his uncle and the life that he lived with his franciscan brothers. He had the opportunity to read his uncle's necrology for the first time at his "Come and See" retreat in Mesilla Park. He was moved to tears reflecting how the friars remember the lives of all friars in the community.

Zach is an active member of his parish and community, he volunteers as a catechist and at a local hospice facility. He enjoys sports, baking, cooking, and hanging out with friends and family. He hopes to continue to have personal growth during his postulate year. In the future Zach want to experience a foreign country, preferably in Latin America, there he could learn Spanish. He looks forward to the challenge of meeting, and ministering to those sometimes on the peripheries of society.

We want to welcome Zach to this great community and ask that you pray for all the men entering religious life, especially Zach.
